HOW TO ATTACH A GARLAND TO THE RAILING OF A STAIRCASE

Whether you choose fresh or faux garland, you'll need to secure it to the railing so it stays in place throughout the season. There are several methods for attaching your greenery:

Hold the garland in position at the top and loop the tie over the garland stem and around the railing.

Twist the garland tie.

Add another tie around 2′-4′ down from the spindle to keep the tie from sliding.

Continue with the second garland strand, overlapping it approximately half way for fullness.

Finish with a floppy ribbon bow in your preferred color.
